A Global Gate is a place where world leaders gather to discuss matters in a similar way to the leaders & elders in Biblical communities would have gathered at the physical gates of their town.
Leadership
As a child I was awe struck by the ideals of the United Nations. What greater goal could there be than to bring together all nations to work together in diplomacy to resolve the issues of the world? So, why doesn't it work? Why are there still wars, still oppression, still poverty?
National interests and self interest play a part. Human built structures don't have the capacity to hold the weight of all those conflicting needs. Each nation is looking to make the most gains for themselves and only cooperates with others where they can see benefit for their own people or economy. It just can't be any other way in this fallen world.
So what do we do as God's people and representatives on the earth? As in national contexts we need to stand in our authority and seek God's Kingdom, not by taking over politically but by engaging in the spiritual realm with the forces at work.
